Cubital tunnel syndrome

Tingling, numbness, burning pain, and/or hand weakness on the small and ring finger side of your hand is caused by compression of the ulnar nerve.

Ulnar nerve compression can occur at several sites along its course down the upper extremity. The most common site of ulnar nerve compression is where is passes through a grove in the elbow bone between the pointy back of the elbow and the inside bony protrusion called the cubital tunnel.

The compression is often due to a build-up of excessive fibrous tissue in the muscle at the front of your forearm, your wrist flexor muscles (particularly your flexor carpi ulnaris and flexor digitorum superficialis muscle).
